What a boring, typical list. Put it on the cover and call it a special issue and every classic rock dork will buy it.

Way to go Rolling Stone, you corporate schmucks

Do you, umm, have the list to share so we can complain about it too?

:!: Idea!

We could do alternating sets of fifty. Like I'll take 1-50, and then you take 51-100.

all those songs on the top 50 are awesome, whether they are that good is debatable i guess but i wouldn't say its a bad list.

It's pretty difficult to fault any of those songs.

I would have added Black to the list but what do you expect from Rolling Stone. Every issue now there seems to be a list like that and I'm sick of em'.

I WANT TO HOLD YOUR FUCKING HAND? Who on earth thinks that's the second best beatles song? Are they insane or just plain ignorant? :x   [/rant]

LOL! I know, I think I would have at least ten Beatles songs before that one in their greatest. And, sorry, Vacate, but I never really liked "Hey Jude." At least, I don't think that deserves to be ahead of many of their other songs, like "Let it Be."

I think it's too difficult to make a greatest songs list. Even making a greatest songs list in one genre is near impossible. Even making a greatest songs list from one band is difficult! This list seems like they just compiled a bunch of classic songs and picked them out of a hat for an order.

I wouldn't have Hey Jude as the best either, but I expected them to. It's not as abhorrent.

Why is everyone pissed off about this? What did you expect? They put out the same pointless list every year.
