Happy birthday, dude. I had no idea he was going to be seventy! He's still quite a character, and the best thing about Everybody Loves Raymond. He's like completely irrelevant to any of the plot lines and is married to Doris Roberts, but he's still so freaking cool!

By the way, Japhy, you're the man. I mean, who's cooler than Peter Boyle and Bill Murray? Great threads, buddy!

He's a good guy. Anyone remember his guest appearance in XFiles? That had to be one of the better guest appearances the show had.

Peter Boyle Trivia:

-Before deciding to pursue a career in acting, he was a monk in the Christian Brothers order.
-Peter's wife Loraine was a reporter for "Rolling Stone" when they first met. He was in his full make-up for "Young Frankenstein". Through her friendship with Yoko Ono, Peter met and became best friends with ex-Beatle John Lennon.
-After seeing people cheer at his role in "Joe", he refused the lead role in "The French Connection" and other roles that glamorized violence.
-Has 2 daughters with Alterman.
-Suffered a stroke in 1990 and couldn't talk for 6 months.
-Father hosted a popular childrens lunchtime cartoon show in Philadelphia in the 1950s titled "Lunch with Uncle Pete."
-John Lennon was best man at his wedding to Lorraine.
