I dont know if people forgot but the new episodes started last night and it was by far one of the best I've seen. Two days before the day after tomorrow, the new orleans comparrison, kyles jew gold patch, and everything else in that episode was awesome.

I'll give last nights episode a B minus. Some really funny parts along with some "eh" moments. I'm not worried though. Last season was perhaps their best so i expect this season to be pretty close. I think i need to be stoned and catch a repeat of last nights episode cause i was sort of cranky and probably didn't give it a fair watch

Well a lot of things happened to me yesterday that really made the whole episode funny. In earth science we had to watch the day after tomorrow. Then in politics the New Orleans thing was brought up again and just pissed me off. Then when I tuned into sout park last night i'll be honest. I was expecting some sort of parady of the new orleans thing but the day after tomorrow thing blew my mind. I gave it an A all the way. Its probably biased because i had to deal with all the new orleans and day after tomorrow thing earlier that day. But it was perfect for my day.
The other funny thing.
We know who did it.
CRAB PEOPLE BOOM BOOM CRAB PEOPLE!!!

This guy is really into global warming. Non of us believed in it so for lab instead of doing work we had to watch that then have to type up a lab report saying how current global warming could result in a rapid climit change. So yeah its gay and i'm really thinking about writting my report based on the theory that its the crab peoples fault.

haha! I really think it is the crab people. Are you gonna sing the crab people song when you hand in your paper? I never saw The Day After Tomorrow but i could tell when they were mocking it. The Global warming stuff was pretty funny though. "We didn't listen!"

Jesus Christ. I can't think of any better way to make a bunch of students NOT believe in global warming than to make them watch that steamer of a film. What a fucking idiot.
You know, I heard an intereview with Matt Stone last year and he said that they were inspired to do Team America after they read the script for The Day After Tomorrow. It was the stupidist script they ever read, and so they decided they had to do a parody of the big budget Hollywood action adventure film in response.
I thought last night's episode was good, not great. I was actually really looking forward to funny TV last night and I was very disappointed. SOuth Park was merely OK, Drawn Together, which I loved last season, sucked and sucked badly, Daily Show was below par, and Colbert was the least funny episode yet.

I think what they initially wanted to do was basically use the exact same script from Day After Tomorrow, just with puppets.

I thought last night's episode was pretty good. Them doing something about New Orleans was pretty much what I expect at this point, but I thought some of the other touches that have been mentioned here really helped the episode out. The Jew Gold was great, as was the Crab People reference. Not a classic or anything but not bad and I expect the episodes to get better as we go along. On the Season 6 dvd commentary Matt and Trey are talking about how the end of season episodes are usually the best because that's when they run out of ideas and just start pulling stuff out of their ass, and I think they may be right.

Matt and Trey were on Jimmy Kimmel last Thursday (around then anyway) and basically implied that they hadn't finished writing/creating this week's show. They get done very early Wednesday morning before shipping it off. Amazing.
You can't beat the Jew gold scene. Another high point was the guy that fell behind the crowd and got hit with the global warming.

Cartman:"Kyle. I know this isn't real jew gold. Its just a fake one to fool people. Hand over the real Jew gold."
Yeah my professor is pretty dumb and i have thought about walking up to hand in the paper and be like Crab People.
The funny thing is though he is metrosexual like and maybe i should get an Mp3 of the Queer eye for the Crab people music on the metrosexual episode they did.[/b]

Pretty damn disappointing. There have been a lot of other episodes that have blown this one out of the water. It had it's funny moments, but looking at the whole thing... sort of disappointing for the big season premiere episode.
The end was funny though. " I broke the wall. "
" No seriously, I literally broke the wall. "

Getting ready for the new episode tonight, hoping it's good.
On a semi-related note I have decided to my annual Halloween get together as Professor Chaos this year. Much drunkenness shall ensue.

it was nothing to great. the pet cemetary thing had its moment. and destroying the future device was the only thing that had me laughing really hard. hopefully next week is a little better.

I laughed pretty hard at this episode several times. I lost it when they threw the pig body off the roof and it splattered everywhere, and then the doctor goes up to the carcass and says, "He didn't make it".
