yeah i know i hated the 2 newest ones..this one seemed to be of a different style tho..it seemed more free-roaming..
so wakeboradings good..thats been out for a while..i could prob get it real cheap (??)
Both of the reviews that I have read (New PSM, and Gamespot) haven't really given it great marks. Sounds like a retread of the last few games. I also read that the "no loading times" thing is kind of a hoax since you have to skate through some really long "tunnels" to get from one area to the next. I loved the first few games, but they have pretty much taken this franchise as far as they can IMO.

No more love for the Tony Hawk series? Sure they haven't done much to further the game other than add new elements to increase combos, and some new game modes, but i still love them.
I've always found them to be consistently fun...and with quite a bit of replay value. Maybe it's cause i don't play video games much anymore.
it just started to piss me off around the time where they introduced the 'revert' move ( THPS3? ). combos that last 3 mins are bullshit, im sorry. they took a semi-realistic game and shat between its breasts.

its about 2 years old and hasnt yet made platinum. im not sure how cheap it'll be, but my copy was a steal.
ok..i tried renting it once, but the disc didnt work..and totally forgot it ever existed since that day..maybe ill stop at the store and see if i can get a used one

yeah the revert sent the series down the tubes..i used to be competitive witht eh trick part, but since the revert i get anhiliated..my bro could literally score like 50 million points because of it..once time runs out..he just keeps doing one long combo for like 10 mins..after that, the game depressed me..even collecting combo letters..you needed the revert to get the whole owrd..
stupid tasks were my favorite tho..like spelling out skate or finding shit..

The revert didn't ruin the game. Maybe it's because I don't use it a lot. I'm not a big fan of the huge combos, only when I have to use them to get through a point career thing.
I like doing realistic stuff. I do real basic stuff, but in the past few games, the moves look more and more realistic and flowing.

Same here. I only use those insanely long combos when i need to get huge pro score points or something. I like the other goals. Especially in the THUG series where the goals vary between levels and there is an actual story (albeit a pretty lame one).
Btw, realistic skating games are BORING. There were a few that came out for the PS around the same time as the first 2 Tony Hawk games, and they blew. The reason that the Tony Hawk series is so popular is because it's unrealistic. If i want realism, i'll take up skateboarding again.

Yeah, the realistic ones are boring, but I try to make things as realistic as I can. I'm not one for doing tons of unreal combos.
