I like Will Ferrell, but I've had my doubts about this movie. Has anyone seen it? Would you recommend as just a fun film to watch? I mean it's no so stupid I shouldn't waste my money, right? It looks funny.

It's hilarious. One of my favorites from 2003.

It's good. I laughed. But don't expect raunchy funny. Expect family funny.

I love this movie. Chances are if you like Will Ferrell type comedy you will like this.

Buy it.

It's absolutely hysterical, but you wouldn't blush watching it with your mom. The rarity in it is that it's a good natured, clean mouthed, really funny movie with some heart. Seriously, we just bought it this weekend. It's hard to watch and not be smiling afterwards, so damned goofy.

I'm going to rent it Tuesday. Maybe Friday if I'm too busy with college.

It's a very funny movie, but the last 20 minutes are awful. It's like they couldn't come up with a good ending, so they had a kindergartener finish the movie for them. Just terrible. This is a minor spoiler, but somehow, they all sing and that gets Santa's sleigh off the ground or something. Ridiculous.

I've got Thanksgiving break, so I rented the dvd today. Should watch it tonight or tomorrow.

i rented elf a couple of days ago and didn't think it was very funny but maybe i had too high expectations going in

i liked bad santa a lot better...that one is funny

and a plug for "jay and the silent bob"...if you havent seen that movie definitely rent it...i'm pretty sure most PJ fans would dig the humour in that one.

I watched Elf today. I thought it was good. Of course sometimes I can laugh at the slightest funny line.

Very, very funny. Will Ferrel took what could've been a terribly lame movie and made it hilarious.
