Hehe. I own this, too. It's great. Well...#2 isn't great.

 You watch Freddy's Dead regularly? Are you punishing yourself for something?

I'm just a Nightmare junkie. The first film scared the shit out of me when I was really young. Some relatives I was staying with thought I was in bed one night and they watched it on First Choice. I snuck down and watched it unbeknownst to them. I have been a Freddy fan since that day. Granted, some of the films are not good. It's still Freddy though. I'd rather watch that than a rerun of Friends or some other stupid shit on TV.
I wonder if they will ever put out the Freddy's Nightmares TV show on DVD. Anyone remember that? They weren't very good overall but there was 1 or 2 episodes that were decent I think... it's been a while.

If I wasn't impressed with the first one should I bother watching the rest? I've heard Dream Warriors is actually pretty good. Can I watch it without seeing 2?

Dream Warriors is the best of the series to me. Number 2 is pretty much ignored by everyone, mainly because it really sucked.

If you didn't like the 1st one don't bother with any of them.
The first is the best and the 2nd is the worst.

1, 3, and 7 are great.

4 was ok.

I think part 2 is great for the cheese factor. It's not just bad, it's hilarious.

5 & 6 are just horrible.

I think DW is the only one I'm gonna bother with. It's on HD movies this month.

I too have been a life long Nightmare junkie and still to this day love all things Freddy. Any question on who I rooted for in FvsJ? Fuck no! Freddy all the way. Anyway, I grew up with these movies and even the bad ones will always hold a special place in my heart.

Freddy's Nightmares had some very decent episodes, and if you recall a few of them prominently featured Robert Englund. There was the prequel episode they showing how Freddy was released from the courts and the parents hunting him down all the way through to him returning as the Freddy we all love to hate. He was also in a follow-up Halloween episode the next year I think. A few of these were released on VHS and I have the prequel episode, which is great. I know there has been some talk of doing a Nightmare prequel film and I always wonder if I'm the only person who remembers that awesome episode or not. If they could do it better that they did there, I'm all for it.
