i ask because once again, my boy torii hunter won. he missed 2 months. seems unfair. seems like those who vote only vote for names they recognize. i don't think anyone who is on the 15 day d.l. more than once in a season should even be considered. thoughts?

Among all awards in sports, the Gold Glove probably means the least

I'm not much into "awards" but I do now that the "Comeback Player of the Year" is one of the most stupidest awards ever!!! :x

It's just like all-star balloting, in terms of name recognition. It's all about the media man.

If I'm not mistaken, there have been guys voted to start on all-star teams who had been out with injuries for the entire first half of the season.

Retarded.

The only team I watch regularily is Toronto... Hudson and Wells are both extremely deserving. Other than that, the rest seem good defensively, but I don't like that most of them have to be good offensively too.

i'm not saying the press is a bunch of geniuses, but fans are pretty dumb. i also don't know when voting starts for the all-star game, but if it starts before the season, then alot of votes could come in for a star player that gets injured early in the season.

Tino was the one who got screwed out of it because they gave it to Raffy - at least that's what the NY papers thought...
