Put Riot Act in your player, listen to 1/2 full but instead of paying attention to the guitar pay attetion to the drums...Matt is pretty amazing, great, beatiful fills

I would be impressed if Dave A knows that there is a thing called tom floor which Matt knows and uses in a wonderful way

lets not turn this into ANOTHER which drummer is better and just focus on commenting on the drumming in half full. that is what this is about, not whether jack could do it better or whether or not matt can play given to fly.
So yeah the drumming on half full kicks ass, I usually listen for the drums first.

it was just a joke given the amount of threads on which drummer is the best...I think the drumming in Half Full is kickass!! however it doesn´t distract me from the guitars..I think Mike owns that song

In one of the Riot Act interviews, right around the time it was released, I think that Mike told in one of them that Matt lost his headphones during the ending jam of 1/2 Full, and couldn't hear the others parts....and that's the take that we can now all enjoy on RA
To conclude, Matt is God!

a drum roll is not a riff!!!!!! a guitar chord is a riff!!!!!
A guitar chord by itself is not a riff.
(Music. A short rhythmic phrase, especially one that is repeated in improvisation.)
-so a chord progression repeated in rythmic phrase, thats a riff. Speaking of which i love the riffs in half full, as well as the kick ass drumming
