Have you seen the latest Ford commercial? The guy is washing his hands, the chef comes out of the stall, adjusts his hat, and leaves the restroom. No hand washing for him.

The whole "chef not washing his hands" bit is actually not an uncommon gag. I'm 99% sure I've seen it on at least one other show. Cheers, maybe?

i'm pretty sure in both those cases the borrowing was intentional and designed for you to make those associations.
