The second one down is my fav. The expression on her face is amazing. The third one with the full body shot, in my opinion, loses some of the intimacy. Nice job all around. But 2nd one is amazing.

E-Minor, you're right about the intimacy being lost. One of the problems with that picture is that it's cropped from the original. When I uploaded it from the camera, I cropped it, and forgot to name it something different experimenting with the crop. I still have the original image on the CF card fortunately. I wanted to post that one right there, because although you do lose intimacy, you get a better aspect of the life the girl lives. And I'm not so sure that is communicated well in the first one of her.
The majority of these pictures were taken near the small village of Nagad, Djibouti.
The last picture of the little girls was taken right smack dab in the middle of Djibouti City on Avenue 13.

I totally agree. The close up takes it from just a snapshot to a true photograph.
