The Beijing Games will certainly be impressive and on a scale much larger than previously seen for a Summer Olympics. As for the characters, they probably are not much better than the 1996 Atlanta Games mascot, which was highly annoying and rather unappealing to look at. I still do not know what the heck "Izzy" was supposed to be.

I actually think they should go with the panda character or the Tibetan antelope. My favorite mascot from all of the games is still Misha, the bear from the Moscow Games in 1980.
