Yes, you are needed down south. We really do hate Bush up here. There ain't no posing aloud. Try and vote down there when it isn't rigged and you might have a chance at having people take you for real again, without bombs dropping on their countries.
I'm certainly not with you but if you decide to move up there, for whatever reason you can come up, with I can respect that. Here's some info for you though in case you decide to actually go through with it...

well....uhh...if your decision is definitive, and that you already engaged the process that'll lead to your move to Canada....meaning that you've applied at immigration Canada, that you asked for a visa and all, then...uhh...well let me welcome you to our humble "little" country. Hope you like paying taxes.

I will never leave my little piece of the earth in upstate NY. (that is until I'm buried IN it!) - this country is mine too, and the majority can't drive me away just becase I disagree with them. I have the same rights as everyone else. To me, leaving is like running away.
I'm not moving to Canada but I'm definately moving out of the South after school.
Why are you blaming the south? That's kinda foolish don't you think? Considering North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, etc etc etc etc aren't in the south? You've seen the county breakdown haven't you? It's not exactly just the south. I'll email it to you if you want it.

Like Jane said, leaving is not going to accomplish anything. Bush won whether you like it or not, and the best thing you can do is hope for better luck (or better organization maybe) next time around.
When it comes to politics, it might be a good time to be optomistic, as Bush very well might do a good job of turning away moderates. All the Democrats will need to do next time is choose a decent candidate.

well personally, i believe it's kinda foolish to want to move to Canada, or any other country for the matter, if you plan to go back to the US as soon as a more moderate form of government is elected. first, because it'll take you at least three years of living INSIDE Canada before you can become a permanent canadian citizen, which will require from you to first renounce to your US citizenship before you get here. And secondly, because i know that the US immigration won't let you get back your citizenship so easily if you renounced it before.
so moving to another country is a definite decision. it's no a oh-i'll-move-there-until-a-democrat-is-elected-again kind of thing.

something tells me if someone were to move it would be far more than the simple idiotic republican vs democrat entertainment most of the people continue to play along with

But we don't have ebonics and we don't cut corners with the spelling of words. I think a couple of iq points would be needed for some of the south to move up here. And if we got down to your real south, forget about it!

well right now, it is. They say "Bush got elected again, so i'm moving out..." Though i agree with you that most of it is a lot of talking and not a lot of follow through.

it has nothing to do really with the government but I've been thinking of moving to New Zealand just because it's there it's awesome and most of the people own sailboats which I love. I wonder what I could do for work and how much it would cost to live.
Why don't all of these people who are considering moving to Canaduh move to a red state instead. Any swing state that ended up going Republican. If you're from a swing state, stay there. But if you're from a solidly Democratic state, move and make your vote count next time.
