Available on November 22 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE), Season 5 features all 22 episodes from the fifth season on a four-disc collector's DVD set and Season 6, also on four discs, features all 24 episodes from the sixth season, including the 100th Episode two-part special. Also available from SPHE and perfectly timed for the holiday gift-giving season will be the special Seinfeld Giftset featuring Seasons 5 & 6 together, packaged with an exclusive reproduction of Jerry Seinfeld's hand-written script for an episode from Season 4 called "The Pilot," and a unique Puffy Shirt Collectible - available to own at $119.95 SLP. The actual Puffy Shirt was donated by Mr. Seinfeld in November, 2004 to the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.
Highlights of the brand new special features include:
* Sein-imation Scenes: Classic Seinfeld scenes re-imagined, using original cast voices, in this all-new animated feature from Season Six.
* Running With the Egg: Step-by-step anatomy of how a Seinfeld episode is created -- from script to taping. (Season Six only)
* Jason + Larry = George: Featurette on how the Seinfeld character of George Costanza was developed. (Season 5 only).
"1 TV Guide ranked Seinfeld #1 on its recent list of the "50 Greatest Shows of All Time."Both new Seinfeld DVD volumes also include hours of fresh bonus material, supervised personally by Jerry Seinfeld and the show's creators, that include never-before-seen deleted scenes, bloopers, interviews with the cast and creators, exclusive stand-up comedy footage, behind-the-scenes scoops, commentaries and more.
All the episodes have been digitally remastered and newly enhanced in high-definition to provide the best picture and sound quality possible, plus both Seinfeld: Season Five and Seinfeld: Season Six will include the original (1-2 minutes longer than syndicated episodes) NBC network versions, not seen since their original broadcast runs.
Still on a creative roll, Seinfeld: Season Five brought viewers some of the most memorable moments ever, including Jerry's Today show appearance in the now infamous Puffy Shirt; George's "shrinkage"; Jerry's deaf date who could read lips; George's new job with the Yankees' George Steinbrenner and Elaine's admission that she "faked 'em all." Season Five was also highlighted by Michael Richard's second Emmy Award win for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
Seinfeld: Season Six marked a major milestone for the series with its 100th episode. Seinfeld's universe expanded to include the pesky comic Bania, Elaine's old bosses Mr. Pitt and Mr. Peterman, the face-painting mechanic Puddy, Kramer's Fusilli Jerry and the revelation of Kramer's first name: Cosmo.
Throughout Season Five and Six, Seinfeld featured an amazing line up of celebrity guest stars and cameo appearances on the show including Al Roker, Jon Favreau, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Coolidge, Marlee Matlin, Jon Voight, Bette Midler, Kathie Lee Gifford, Regis Philbin, Carol Kane, Jon Lovitz, and others.
Seinfeld is produced by West-Shapiro Productions in association with Castle Rock Entertainment, a Time Warner Company. Larry David, George Shapiro and Howard West serve as executive producers of the series. Seinfeld is distributed by Sony Pictures Television.

Girlfriend just walked in the door w/ Seasons 5 and 6. My birthday is this comming Monday so she said it's one of my early presents. Yippee! Though, I feel like shit, and have been sick for the past two days, so when on the couch coughing and sneezing nothing better then laughing so hard that it helps you cough even more to get that shit outta my body.
Will elaborate once I've checked it out.

Not to be a parade rainer and whatnot, but I don't get the point in purchasing the Seinfeld DVD's when the show runs in syndication about 6 times a day on 5 different channels.
I mean, I guess the bonus material is nice, but is it really worth the price? I love the show as do so many others, but seeing it on tv as much as it is is plenty for me.

The bonus stuff in every set has been pretty good thus far. I'd say it's worth it.
