32. Texans (1-9): Simply terrible. L. Johnson set Chiefs single game rushing record with 211 yards against Houston on Sunday. David Carr gets sacked more then most people blink.

31. 49ers (2-8): Gave Seattle a run on Sunday. Ken Dorsey played well in second start of the season. Are things starting to look up for the Niners? Probably not.

30. Saints (2-8): Six consecutive losses. The team without a home fought hard against the defending champs but came up short again. 52-3 loss to Green Bay in week five is still mind blowing.

29. Jets (2-8): Testaverde is the Jets passing yards leader. He has ZERO TD's. The entire team has five TD passes on the season. 'Nuff said.

28. Titans (2-8): Bad News~ Five consecutive losses. Good News~ Titan's fans have at least THREE things to look forward to: 1) San Fran comes to town next week. 2) Houston comes in three weeks. 3) A high draft pick.

27. Dolphins (3-7): 22-0 loss to Cleveland on Sunday. Gus Frerotte completed only four passes in the game. My biggest question is how the hell did this team beat Carolina and Denver this season?

26. Packers (2-8): Favre has 15 INTs through 10 games. Injuries have decimated the entire team. The latest in a line of running backs, S. Gato, had just seven yards on 10 carries on Monday Night against the Vikings. Will Brett Favre hang 'em up after this season? If he wants to go out with a 4-12 team, maybe...

25. Eagles (4-6): Loss of T.O. may be good for team moral, but is a big hit to any offense. Loss of McNabb kills any chance of turning things around. Four straight losses and a constant "Soap Opera" atmosphere makes a bad situation even worse.

24. Bills (4-6): 0-5 on the road. J.P. Losman is a MAJOR work in progress. 48-10 loss to San Diego on Sunday didn't help.

23. Cardinals (3-7): Win on Sunday over the Rams was the best win of the season for the Cards. That's not saying much. Other two wins were against San Fran. and Tenn.. Why doesn't Denny Green start Josh McCown? Before Sunday, the last QB other then McCown to win a start for Arizona was Jeff Blake on Nov. 2, 2003. McCown had nine wins during that stretch.

22. Ravens (3-7): Kyle Boller is back in at QB. Sunday was a good win over an injured Steelers team (missing Big Ben). Ravens need their Defense to be in shut down mode to be successful. Most importantly they need Jamal Lewis to be better then his 3.0 yards per carry average.

21. Lions (4-6): With all of the high draft picks the Lions have used on offense over the past few years, you would think they would average more then 16.7 points per game. Joey Harrington had been showing improvement, but if Detroit wants to be a contender they need a legit QB to get the ball to their talented wide receivers. Harrington is definitely not that, and Jeff Garcia isn't a hell of a lot better.

20. Rams (4-6): Any hopes of making the post season likely went up in flames with a loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. The loss proved even more costly when QB Mark Bulger suffered a shoulder injury that will possibly sideline him for the rest of the season.

19. Raiders (4-6): A tough schedule and close losses to Kansas City and Philadelphia have the Raiders on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. In Oakland's six losses opponents have averaged 27 points. In their four wins the Raiders are allowing just 17 points.

18. Browns (4-6): Ruben Droughns has averaged 107 yards rushing over the last four games and Cleveland's defense has allowed less then 20 points in seven of 10 games. Browns are moving in the right direction.

17. Redskins (5-5): Disappointing loss to Oakland was costly for the Skins. With six games to play Washington is two games behind division leaders Dallas and NY Giants. Playoff hopes are fading in the Nation's Capitol.

16. Vikings (5-5): Three weeks ago Minnesota was 2-5 and lost QB Daunte Culpepper for the season. Since then the Vikes are 3-0 with two road wins, a defense that has suddenly come to life with big plays in critical situations, and one of the better Special Teams units in the league. Vikings schedule is also favorable with four home games remaining. Playoff hopes are alive, but it will be a long shot for a playoff showing this season.

15. Chiefs (6-4): The Chiefs have had the definition of an up and down year. Longest winning streak: Two games. Longest Losing streak: Two games. With Priest Holms out, Larry Johnson has picked up the slack. Last week he had 211 yards and two TD's. The only problem was that it was against the hapless Texans. Kansas City's remaining schedule is brutal. Home games against New England, Denver, San Diego, and Cincinnati. Road games against Dallas and NY Giants. Talk about a test.

14. Falcons (6-4): Two straight losses to the Bay's (Green and Tampa). Loss to Green Bay in Atlanta was a killer. A Super Bowl contender shouldn't lose to a one win team at home. Loss to Tampa Bay cost Atlanta a share of the NFC South lead.

13. Bucs (7-3): Somehow Cris Simms stopped what looked like a team heading for a free fall. Back to back nail biter wins against Washington and Atlanta have the Bucs tied for the division lead with momentum now on their side.

12. Patriots (6-4): New England ranks dead last in the AFC in defense. That's right. Dead last. Yet some how New England continues to win. Playing in the terrible AFC East doesn't hurt either. The Pats will make another playoff appearance and you just can't count out a team led by Tom Brady and the best head coach in the NFL, Bill Belichick.

11. NY Giants (7-3): Eli Manning and the Giants have beat every team they should have this season with one exception: a loss to Minnesota in the Meadow Lands. Their other losses have come against Dallas (in overtime) and San Diego. With wins in their next two games against Seattle and Dallas, the Giants could become possible NFC favorites.

10. Bengals (7-3): Cincinnati put up a valiant effort against unbeaten Indy. Carson Palmer is the top rated passer in the league and Chad Johnson is a true super star on the rise. So why not a higher ranking? The Bengals are 1-3 against teams with a winning record.

9. Cowboys (7-3): Dallas has won three in a row and is tied for the lead in the NFC East. Drew Bledsoe has found a home back with Bill Parcells. The Cowboys found a gem of a running back in the 2005 NFL draft. In the fourth round, with the 109th overall pick they selected Marion Barber III (5 TDs). Next two games are big. Denver at home on Thanksgiving and the NY Giants on the road the following week. That is a test.

8. Jaguars (7-3): Three consecutive wins against over matched teams have boosted the Jags. However, the biggest reasons for the high ranking isn't those games, it is the three wins over quality teams earlier this season that are impressive. A 12 point win against Seattle, a three point win over Cincinnati, and a six point win at Pittsburgh are signature wins.

7. Panthers (7-3): Carolina's loss to Chicago cost them sole possession of first place in the NFC south and the highest NFC ranking. Steve Smith is having an MVP type season. Even with the loss to the Bears, Carolina should still win the South and make a serious run at the Super Bowl. Two big games with Atlanta remain on the schedule.

6. Bears (7-3): Chicago's smothering defense has led to six straight wins and a two game lead in the NFC North. So, just how good is the Bears number one rated D? They allow only 11 points per game. Thats better then the '85 Bears, better then the '02 Bucs, and less then one point per game off the pace set by the 2000 Ravens. All Super Bowl winning teams. Bottom line the D is on pace to be historic. If the Bears can get any consistent offense, they could make a lot of noise in the playoffs.

5. Steelers (7-3): A tuff loss to the Ravens over the weekend confirms even more how valuable Ben Rothlisberger is to the Steelers. With Big Ben in the line up Pittsburgh is the third best team in the NFL right now. Without him are they even a top 10 team? Hard to say. Look for the Steelers to put up a strong effort against Indy on Monday Night Football if Roethlisberger makes the start.

4. Chargers (6-4): San Diego is putting things together on offense averaging 36 points per game during a current three game winning streak. Antonio Gates is the best TE in the league and LeDainian Tomlinson is having another stellar year. Look for the Chargers to roll in next three games over Washington, Oakland, and Miami on their way to a clash of the titans against Indy on Dec.18.

3. Seahawks (8-2): Shaun Alexander is on pace to score 30.4 TDs, and rush for 1,966 yards this season. Can anyone say MVP? The only possible problem is this: The current number one seed in the NFC only beat San Francisco by two points. We will see if Seattle is a Paper Tiger or a force to be reckoned with this week when they match up against the NY Giants.

2. Broncos (8-2): Denver has two losses this season. They lost the season opener in a baffling game in Miami, and lost to the NY Giants on a lest second TD pass by Eli Manning. Broncos are one play away from being 9-1. Next two weeks Denver has Dallas and Kansas City. Two wins and the Broncos would be a near lock to win the AFC West. By the way, Jake Plummer has gone eight straight games with out an interception, a Denver record. Wow.

1. Colts (10-0): The Colts are undefeated. They have the number two rated offense in the NFL, the number eight defense, the number two rated passer, the number two rusher, the number one sacker, and the number three pass interceptor. Indy dominates both sides of the ball and has the current NFL MVP at QB in Peyton Manning. The Colts have a legit shot at going unbeaten and are clear Super Bowl favorites. I won't be picking against Indy anytime soon.

Second, to suggest that the Lions, with their pathetically anemic offense, would beat 11 other teams on a neutral field is ludicrous.

Third, the Jets should be 31. They are on their 4th quarterback. They absolutely suck.

Fourth, please rank the rest. I want to see where you have the Vikings and Bears.

Fifth, please do an NHL, NBA, and off-season MLB ranking (based on acquisitions and moves). I need my laughter for the season.
