Well Peeps said to go to Add/Remove Windows components and uncheck it there and I did. Then it was suggested I go to

http://grc.com/stm/shootthemessenger.htm

and try that and I did and it said it was disabled and it seemed to be. But yesterday it had come back up! Now I don't know what else to do. This is becoming as bad as spy ware.

I did find this and followed what it said:

Windows Messenger 4.0 or Later on a Windows XP Professional (which I have)

1) Click Start, click Run, type gpedit.msc, and then press ENTER
2) Double-click the following items to expand them:

Local Computer Policy
Computer Configuration
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Windows Messenger

HOKY CRAP ARG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even this won't stop it!!!!!!! >_<

Is it just when you have Outlook Express open?

EDIT: I thought you were talking about MSN Messenger....

Or are you talking about 'net send' messages?

I'm talking about leaving my computer with just my desktop and no programs running especially not MSN ot Outlook, and having Windows Messenger pop up in the background when I never signed into it.
