Nothing has been confirmed to this point but supposedly the Sox and Marlins have reached a deal to send Beckett and Mike Lowell to the Sox for Hanley Ramirez, Anibal Sanchez and a PTBN.
I'm not thrilled with the inclusion of Lowell at 18 Million over the next 2 seasons, but hopefully a change of venue will do him well. Lets see now if things are officially announced in the next 48 hours.

The Red Sox don't have to worry about money and acquiring Beckett for prospects that have done nothing yet is highway robbery. He's a perennial 18 game winner in Boston, unless he spontaneously combusts...which is about the only injury he hasn't suffered yet.
