i work in the IT field, im basically the help desk/lan admin/all knowing deity for this place
they been getting crushed by spam of late and we got a spam filter, that automatically creates a folder in their inbox called blacklist, and that sends all their spam email into it.
someone actually complained to HR that the term "BLACKLIST" was not politically correct
i had to reconfigure the program to term it, spam
i told HR, if they ever downsize, and refer to it as trimming the fat, im beating someones ass

Whose politics is it not correct by? Did you not point out that it wsa perfectly correct by your politics, or even, God forbid, common sense? I mean, yeah, if it was called a niggerlist, then I could see what people would be upset by. But the term blacklist has its roots in black-balling, a practise whereby gentleman's clubs in Victorian London would vote to allow new members (placing a black ball in the voting box was considered a veto). Tell those fuckers to quit their whinging and learn their lexicography before they start censoring you.

Does anybody in your office use white-out? If so, you should raise an equivalent stink about that.
I don't have a problem with most political-correctness, but this one is just plain retarded.
