It's so hard to say that he shouldnt be cut after what he did yesterday, missing 3 game winning feild goals. The NFL is a game of week to week play, you cannot afford to have a guy miss 3 trys like that who's sole job is to kick. It's obvious that he doesnt have the guts to be a clutch kicker. If the Giants lose to Dallas next week, its over for em, without a doubt.

He's one of the best kickers in the NFL.
He was 22 of 24 before today.
The winds in Qwest were terrible.

I'm just glad the Seahawks stopped giving the G-men chances to win, because I think if he would have had another chance he would of hit it right down the center.

All I can say is, PHEW!, nice escape with a win by Seattle.

makes me ever so thankful for Jeff wilkins, who yesterday in this order, kicked a PERFECT onside kick, hit the game tying 47 yard feild goal, then kicked the perfect squibb kick to end regulation, then kicked the openning OT kickoff out of the back of the endzone, allowing the rams to win the game.

3 field goals yes, but only one bad game.

He had several awful ones in Atlanta and it tried our patience, but he's a good guy and a good kicker, If Manning throws 3 picks and they all get run back for touchdowns do you cut him?

I am very thankful that he is no longer a Falcon. Seems like a great guy, but did not fare well with the game on the line in Atlanta.

If we can get Koenings cannon to be slightly more accurate he can kick em from 65+.

Peterson is automatic from 38 in.

i excuse him for the most part. we all have bad games. the giants offense played like the jets too - get a 45-50 yard field goal and we'll be fine!

And if he misses they call a penalty to give him a second chance (saints game).

Is missing those 3 game winning kicks Feely's fault?

Absolutely.

But you also have to blame Tom Coughlin for not getting his kicker a closer shot at a field goal. This Martyball nonsense that pervades the minds of NFL head coaches is numbing. I never understood just sitting on the ball when you're just close enough for a field goal. Get your kicker close enough to where there is no way he is going to miss.

Take Mike Holmgren yesterday in overtime for example. Once his team got in FG range, he didn't get stodgy with his offense. He called the right plays to get his team a 32 yard FG try at the end of the game.

not so sure i agree there. they had the ball at the 30, handed to alexander, broke a tackle and he went for 13 yards. got it to the 17. the next 3 plays were running plays that lost them 2 yards and then they kicked a 36 yard field goal.

The conservative play calling should be questioned, I agree. However, an NFL kicker who gets a chance at a 40 and 45 yard game winning field goal needs to make one of them. I don't think he should be cut, since he's been a great kicker and just had a shitty game, but he deserves a lot of blame for this game.
