I'm betting on hopkins. Probably the best fighter I've ever seen besides Pernell Whitaker. Although Hopkins didn't get robbed like he claims, I still think he dominated the last 5 rounds and will step it up this time around. Throw in some shit-talking by Taylor and he'll be more than ready. I think this is his last fight and he has tons of pride. I'm not that confident but I won't be that worried about throwing about $300 on Bernard

I think Hopkins will knock Taylor out within six rounds, he will definitely win if he doesn't knock him out. Hopkins is one guy I wouldn't talk trash with, at least not on the level Taylor has.

I think Hopkins knocks him out around the 9th or 10th.

I'm taking Hopkins and it IS cause I'm from Philly!

Hopkins winner by KO in the 8th.

Taylor won 115-113 on all 3 scorecards. I didn't see the fight but heard it was a bore, there is no excuse for middleweights to fight a boring fight. I'm all for tactical boxing but when neither fighter gets hurt in 12 rounds I don't think they are giving their all.

Hopkins is gonna retire, Taylor looks like Hopkins part II right now.

I thought it was a draw. It was pretty boring, but it was mostly because Taylor kept grabbing Hopkins every time he got close. I think Taylor trained with John Ruiz for this fight. I don't think Taylor is anywhere near as good as Hopkins was in his prime. He may get there someday, but he's not there now.

or maybe, just maybe there may be a better reason for picking the winner other than their hometown.

I agree with you on that.

If you are gonna rip him you should do it before the fight, not after the fact and throw in the "good call  " nonsense. That's just lame.

I personally picked Hopkins because I think he is the better fighter, I'm not so sure now. From everything I've heard it was a close, boring fight with Taylor grabbing any chance he got. Hopkins lands more punches and power punches both fights but loses. Hopkins again waits until the 6th before he starts being aggresive. To me he deserves to lose with that strategy, unless you are sure you are gonna knock the other guy out or at least hurt him bad, you have to be agressive earlier. You gotta go out and win the fucking fight, not put it into the hands of the judges. If I were him I'd rather get KO'd taking it to Taylor than lose on the scorecards.

The fight sucked, i'm so happy i don't have to pay for this crap anymore. Hopkins looked old and didn't punch enough. I'm surprised the judges had it that close. Time for Bernard to hang it up cause he looks like Roy Jones and is embarrassing himself.

I wouldn't go that far.....Jones was getting his ass kicked all over the ring and put to bed.
