Im pretty sure Cal,

take a look when the mean bakery lady hands the old bag the marble rye. you can clearly see things behind the lady that look a whole lot like more marble ryes, same colors and I swear the same shaped items....unless my eyes were playing tricks on me.

I just saw this episode last night and I think you are right. I noticed it myself but didn't really think about it until this post.

the only way you can tell it's a marble rye is by cutting it open. regular rye and marble rye have the same outside crust.

but wouldnt a regular ryes outside twists be all one color, as apposed to a marble rye which would have interlocking different colored twists?

There's no way that's the loaf they have in that episode. The loaf clearly has twists of two colors.

Of course, now comes the debate about whether the marble rye is ACTUALLY a marble rye at all.

jesus christmas is right on about what atrue marble rye looks like, but B is right that what was in the Seinfeild episode was a loaf of bread that had dark and light brown interlocking twists....

Yes, that's clearly a braided loaf. But I remain unconvinced that there are more of them behind the lady at the bakery.
