Sources tell The BRAD BLOG that The Daily Show on Comedy Central will be running an item tonight on self-proclaimed satirical journalist Bill O'Reilly's use of a year-old video clip to support his phony "War on Christmas" as originally reported here on Sunday.
Our report was picked up by MediaMatters.org yesterday. We had reported on O'Reilly's use of the clip in his "Talking Points Memo" segment on Fox "News'" The O'Reilly Factor program last Friday and Media Matters added that O'Reilly had also run the same clip by Daily Show "correspondent" Samantha Bee audio-only on his Radio Factor show earlier that day where he misleadingly introduced it as "what happenened there last night" on Comedy Central.
BRAD BLOG's original report has the video and discusses O'Reilly's phony use of the clip to shore up momentum in his imaginery "War on Christmas". The video clip clearly shows a calendar for 2004 behind Bee who is also currently very pregnant -- which she wasn't in the clip. As well, Media Matters confirmed our report that the segment had not been played on The Daily Show at any time during the previous week contrary to O'Reilly's assertion.

O'Reilly is a joke. I was flipping through the channels last night and Howard Stern was on. O'Reilly was putting down Stern. In fact I don't even think O'Reilly was even listening to anything Stern said. That's fine, but what if O'Reilly really doesn't care about Stern and thinks he's an idiot, then why o' why is O'Reilly taking a 15 minute interview with Stern and breaking into 5 3-minute segments which he plans to show all week?
Yeah because Stern is ratings. The show is everything he claims not to be.

Oh god I saw this last night. It was fucking hilarious.
Jon Stewart is the fucking man. Even his interview with the guy who wrote 1776 was well researched, thoughtful and respectful. He and Colbert give a much more fair and balanced version of the news than Fox ever could... and they're not even trying to be fair and balanced.

PATS 38 GIANTS 10 - However I do see a chance the Pats letting it all hang out and scoring 56 or 63 points. Just realize that you will NEVER see a team like this again in your lifetime.... that is until next year...... 38-0

Well, both of them really. That was brilliant. "You are hurting, America..." .... "Aren't you supposed to be funny?"
I think Jon was cordial and respectful to Bill when he was on the Daily Show for exactly the reason he derides the Factor: Bill is a complete asshole to his "liberal" guests.

I don't know if anyone watched his show tonight, but he called the students that heckled Ann Coulter last night at UConn, Nazis. Then furthered that by saying that all far left zealots were Nazis too. I thought that was pretty amusing.

I couldn't freakin believe that show. I was really excited to finally see someone stick it to O'Reilly, and then.....nothing. Stewart completely wussed out. Call it respect or politeness if you'd like. To me, he wussed out.
O'Reilly is a weird character. I think some of what he says is right on, and some is way off. His arrogance makes me despise him though.

the bad thing about "O Rly' is that he will constantly contradict himself. Last year before the election, he was on 60 minutes or something, and he was practically jerking Kerry off, "Oh I respect him and I know him and what a good guy", then after the election he called Kerry a pussy or a pansy or something.

OMG, I should just post his entire Talking Points Memo when it goes online for all of you to laugh at. He always goes absolutely nuts this time of year. Just crazy.
At least the Howard Stern interview is interesting.

So does anyone know if O'Reilly has eaten crow and fessed up yet?
Remember, the spin.... begins here.
And then never ends.
:big ugly smile:

Not to say this is not true, I am just trying to get it straight. Bradblog, has a source that tells them, that the Daily show will run a story about how O'Reilly used footage of a year old Daily Show episode, to support his episode in which he talks about "The War on Christmas."
Also, O'Reilly "used an audio only" version of the interview on his "radio" show. And Media Matters confirms it all. Again, I am not saying it is bull shit, but this is like Entertainment Tonight, quoting Extra, from a story that the National Enquirer almost quoted.

I don't think that's a condradiction. I respect Kerry and what he did during the war in Vietnam. I think he's a pussy and a pansy for what he did after Vietnam. And I think he would have handled the war like a pussy and a pansy as well. It'd have been an army of lions, being lead by a deer.
