Hi all,

I just realized that my cd changer/am/fm doesn't have an "audio out" port because it isn't a tuner. That, coupled with the fact that I am not able to drive, has kind of left me in a lurch if I want to listen to Stern.

Let me ask all of you a question, though. I noticed that Sirius does some streaming for subcribers through their site. Does Sirius stream all of their music and talk channels live for subscribers? If they do, i'd only be out less than $50 for the receiver + $12.95/month.

Any help would be appreciated!

Adam

i dont have sirius yet, but from what i understand is that if you have an account with sirius you can get on any computer and go to their website and listen to all the channels with your account#/password.

They stream all of the music but not the sports or entertainment. There are a few of the talk and comedy channels online. The two Stern channels are not online yet. I called Sirius last week to ask about Stern on the web and they claim it is his decision and he has not made up his mind yet.

you have to get an FM transmitter to listen on an external radio.

Just to update this with some info from Sirius:

12. Can I listen on my computer?
While Howard will not be available online, subscribers can listen to all of our commercial-free music online at no additional cost.

Regarding online subscriptions, apparently, Stern is "working on it."

I would've gotten this long ago if they'd only come out with a truly portable receiver/tuner. Until they do, I'll continue to illegally download Stern.
