 Post subject: conan can be a jerk sometimes..

i was just watching his show and that killer guy from theres something about mary was on. he was trying so hard to be funny, but was failing pretty bad and conan was just laying out on him and talking down to him in a way. being pretty condescending.


sometimes i notice that if the guest is funnier than he is he tries hard to grandstand them.


anyone else notice?

same thing here. used to watch it all the time when it ran on nbc-europe, really liked it and discovered some great bands through the show (f.e. guster).

i have no idea about this, but if your talking about Chris Elliot, the most unfunny asshole ever in comedy, than conan should be applauded.

I didn't see this interview, but in general I find that Conan is one of the best hosts to actually make his guests funnier than they are. If a guest shows up with nothing, Conan can often bring the interview to the next level and actually make it funny. That's something most hosts can't do.
