With all the holiday cheer floating around I thought it might be cool to give a public thank you to the people RM who have turned you on to some bands that you may have never given a chance.

The Velvet Underground- vacatetheworld, Bullet Proof
Faith No More, Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan Solo, Air - Owen Meany
Ladytron - Bullet Proof
My Morning Jacket - Yieldgirl
Sonic Youth - vacatetheworld
Yo La Tengo - B
Elliot Smith - Owen Meany
Marth Wainwright - lemoncoatedafterword
Sleater-Kinney - Owen Meany
The Tragically Hip - knuckles of frisco / Owen Meany
Stars - Davo
Nick Cave - knuckles of frisco

So thanks Jason, Laura, Stephen, julie, B, deanna, and brian

I don't know who exactly, but because of this board I checked out Elliott Smith. Big thanks for that.

A lot, way too many to mention, and most were so long ago I don't remember who. I checked out Mogwai cause of this board, that alone can never be repayed.

one day, we'll just be forced to admit that we're really the same person. /:

brian got me into the hip. jason got me further into the hip.
brian got me into bad religion and nick cave.
darrin got me into neutral milk hotel and death cab for cutie.
someone here inspired me to check out pavement.
laura inspired me to buy albums from the beach boys, bob dylan and bright eyes.

Tell me if I am smoking crack but...zeb, aren't you blind aphex? Well, anyway, I remember blind aphex, kusko andy, cdsquirrel, droppin ordnance, brainofj, glorified version, and undoubtedly some others turned me onto a ton of great music.

I probably have to give extra props to cdsquirrel and DO though, those guys are fuckin geniuses when it comes to music. And I thought I was well versed...silly me.
