considering the fact one guy in my fantasy league (thankfully im not playing him) has manning, stokely and harrison

last i checked, he had 88 pts

One should assume they are covering the spread again today?

I only watched the first quarter, and while I felt Indy was going to win the game, the Lions were moving the ball down the field decently. I thought for sure they would have scored more than 3 points afterwards.

He's amazing. 2 weeks til he breaks/meets the record.

That's the way the Colts defense plays. They give up big plays but not big plays for touchdowns. I wasn't feeling too good about their defense after the KC game but they have really turned it on these last 5 weeks. Their defense has also made some big plays, they stop a lot of teams on 4th and 1 and they are starting to produce more turnovers per game. They have given up 10, 10, and 9 points the last 3 weeks. I know the competetion hasn't been that great but two of those games wee on the road and this is their 4th game in 18 days. The improvement is definitely noticeable. And if their defense can just play "decent" they can beat any team in the league. The only thing i'm worrying about right now is a really windy game at NE or Pitt in the playoffs. Peyton can play in the snow and cold, the wind would be a huge negative factor though. Sorry about the rant, i'm feeling pretty good about this team right now. It's nice to know that you have the greatest offensive team in the history of the game on the field every week. It's arguable(2000 Rams, 99 Vikes, 84 Dolphins, early 80's chargers) but i've been watching the NFL closely for over 20 years now and this is the best O I've ever seen

yeah their d is playing good now (not like they really have to play spectacular with manning throwing 4-5 tds a game)..hope for a pitt, ne loss or 2..if colts have homefield they tear through everyone including pats and steelers..something tells me that the way manning is playing this season, not even the cold and the wind can get in his way..

agruably one of the best offesnes ever..id have to say yes..i grew up watching marino and he had some sick years..the 2 are very comparable..id also add the 92-93 cowboys to those offenses (aikman, irvin, smith, sick o-line)..but anyhow, the bestever? id say possibly..

I don't see them getting better than a 3 seed. They should go 12-4 but the pats and Steelers will at least go 13-3 and if the Pats fall back to 12-4 they will still hold the seed edge on Idy because of week 1. The Colts are gonna have to win at least one game on the road to get in the super Bowl. I think this might be the year but I'm scared of the Pats more than the Steelers.

Can i also add that the Colts players are the classiest team as a whole than anybody else in the league. I'm so tired of seeing receivers go beserk when catching a 3rd and 6 pass for 8 yards. I can't remember the last time any of the Colts players celebrated meaningless shit. The Colts don't even celebrate that much when they score a TD. They know there is more to be done and 1 touchdown isn't gonna make or break the game. I'm just happy that a team that i love is doing it all with class. No Dirty Bird, no Bob and Weave, no Fun Bunch, just touchdowns and moving on to the next drive. It's rare that you have a team like this so I'm just happy to be rooting for them.

peyton manning is the best quarter back ever. its not just the fact that he's gonna throw more tds and yards ever, its the way he reads defenses and looks off receivers and his unbelievable play action ability. the only thing one could say bad is that he doesnt have play making ability like mcnabb or vick or culpepper to scramble and break tackles and makes broken plays go for first downs, but manning doesnt need that. he executes the play that was callen perefectly. he's the best ever.

I think you have to win a championship to even be considered as the best ever. He might be the most sskilled ever but even marino has an edge there. It's too early to make that call yet anyway. 4 more years of anything near this year and he wuill probably be mentioned in the same breath as marino, elway, montana but w/o that ring it isn't gonna hold as much water. I don't think it's even close as far as right now though. Manning runs the entire offense at the line of scrimmage, no QB has that much responsibility. He is really on fire right now, he was in the playoffs too until he ran into the pats. If the Colts win the super Bowl i don't see any reason why he wouldn't be mentioned with the greats but until then i think he still has a couple of years to go.

peyton is fun to have on your fantasy team.... i'm hoping for him to lead me to some $$$

We ended up leaving after the halftime show because the Lions effort was so lousy. I heard on the radio that the fans insisted that Harrington be replaced by McMahon and sure enought he was. Harrington needs to go. He just isn't NFL material!! Its pretty bad when the second string quarterback is the fans popular choice. I don't want to dsirespect Manning's ability, but beating the Lions isn't that much of a feat. Getting all those TD passes was quite easy with the lousy Lion's offense.
I hate being a Lion's fan, but I can't help it. They have me under some spell.

BTW: An employee at the game told me that the Colts all showed up wearing Artest jerseys. I don't know how true it is.

i saw marcus pollard w/ an artest jersey on. i dunno if the whole team did, but a few players wore pacers jerseys

i also agree..the steelers were on fire..but i think they got hot at the wrong time..a very good team, but not on the colts level..i agree with you on the pats being the team to be scared of..like i said, i like peyton to get the better of ty law this year..even in the cold..its just a matter of time before he blows up in the playoffs (of course i said this with marino 10 million times)
