I put on the Classic Rock station here in New York,and they have the top 104 Classic Rock songs of all time countdown,and "Alive" is #743!

The DJ actually had a nice long story after Alive about how he thinks that the death of hair metal wasnt "Smells Like Teen Spirit" but Alive.The DJ was working in a Metal station,and when he heard Ten he knew it was the end of hair metal bla bla bla,

I'm sure "Black" will be the highest.

I think Pearl Jam will become even a bigger Classic Rock band in the next decade (and the 60's bands will be "Oldies").It usually takes 20 years for songs to become officially "Classic Rock".

In Melbourne here is lovely Australia, we have a radio station that is devoted to rock. They have had a top 500 rock songs countdown where people vote for their favourite songs. Alive came in at number 1. They also do u competition, where bands go up against each other in a round robin like contest, and the listerners vote for their favourite band, for memory, this has been done 3 times. Pearl Jam has come first twice and runner up once.

Just thought Id input that into the conversation.
