As I was doing my list of favorite 90's album, I started thinking about some of my favorites from the 80's, esp. since that is when I was first discovering some great music. I admit some of these I didn't hear until later, but a lot of this represents what I loved when I was in high school and still listen to. You may notice certain things missing like Appetite For Destruction, which I loved when it came out, but today I can't really listen to it. I can say the same for Metallica or Motley Crue's Shout at The Devil, they've kinda lost their charm for me.

1. The Jesus & Mary Chain - Psychocandy
2. Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
3. Meat Puppets - Meat Puppets II
4. Pixies - Sufer Rosa
5. REM - Reckoning
6. The clash - Combat Rock
7. The Replacements - Let it Be
8. REM - Document
9. Fugazi - 13 Songs
10. The Feelies - The Good Earth
11.The Cure - Disintegration
12.The Replacements - Tim
13.Big Country - Crossing
14.Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking
15.Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
16.Mudhoney - Mudhoney
17.Talking Heads - Stop making Sense
18.N.W.A. - Straight Outta Compton
19.XTC - Skylarking
20.Cocteau Twins - Treasure

Not sure but Back in Black, Stone Roses and Joshua Tree are probably my most listened to.

"Looks That Kill", "Knock 'Em Dead Kid", and "Too Young to Fall in Love" still kick ass IMO.
