Apparently, there are some new Christmas songs that you can download for free, but Weezer's website is harder to navigate than the Ten Club.

Naw, if it was a reflection of Weezer's music, it would go thusly:

It was an amazing website back when it was created. But then it wasn't updated for a long time, and when it came back it completely sucked.

;)

this is actually how it was. during the making of maladroit, they posted songs pretty much every day. it was fun to listen to songs change as the band worked on them, but heartbreaking when some of the best songs were scrapped.

Complex, expansive, and difficult to understand?

No way.

The music is simply great pop.

Even 'Make Believe'.

Weezer has always been Weezer. Yes, I understand Blue & Pinkerton are 'blah, blah, blah', but if you liked them, you should like the rest. They haven't changed a bit. No album is that much different.

no...i meant shitty

and there is absolutely no reason i "should" like the rest of their shitty albums just b/c i like blue & pinkerton.

ya know i even like the green album, but come on man, beverly hills? its fucking garbage. i might as well listen to "holla back girl"

I'm not saying every album sounds exactly the same, but compared to most other bands, there really hasn't been much progression. Pinkerton has kind of a different feel to it, but that's about it.

Don't get me wrong. Weezer's one of my favorite bands, and probably the only band I know that I don't want to change. I love 'Make Believe', but honestly, every one of those songs could be placed on one of the previous 4 albums.

All 5 albums have songs that are very similar. It's possible to like certain albums over others, but to love one and hate another just seems weird, unless you're someone who gets tired of them sounding the same.

And I don't think Beverly Hills sounds anything like holla back girl. It's not even in the same genre. I'm sure there's shit you like that I'd think was garbage.

It was worth the reformation just for "Island in the Sun".

it's the quality of the songs which has dropped. a lot.

Definitely. Besides Pinkerton, I think their "style" has remained quite constant, but the actual songs on the album have been far inferior on the latest ones.

Ok, that's cool. Enough people bash post-Pinkerton Weezer. I must hear their later music differently.

And I love Dave Matthews. Even his later stuff. You can always count on Dave for a cool mid-summer party/concert.

The quality hasn't changed. Perfect Situation could easily fit on Blue, and Hold Me could easily fit on Pinkerton. Those are just two examples. To say the quality hasn't improved, would be accurate.
