I was actually just looking for something interesting to play, myself.

I think my favorites to play are:

On guitar:
Anything by Mogwai, especially: Yes! I am a long way from home, Hunted by a Freak, 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong, Kids Will Be Skeletons, etc. I also like trying to work out David Gilmour solos. On The Turning Away, Time, High Hopes I am decent at.

On keyboard:
Anything by the Beach Boys, especially: Caroline No, God Only Knows, Good Vibrations. Thier music is so incredibly complex, and it sounds so fucking good when you get the chords and voicings right on a keyboard.

To sing:
Neutral Milk Hotel, cause my voice is as bad as Mangum's. And I can't sing + play guitar at the same time, so it has to be something easy. Also Grateful Dead is fun sometimes.

I shred God Is In The Radio on the air guitar, particularly the solo.

That is a pretty fun song to play. And it annoys the hell out of my girlfriend after a while!

I love playing and singing Dave Matthews songs. Ants Marching, Typical Situation, #41... Dave songs usually get a good response out of the crowd and they're super fun.

Liam's Oasis songs (Talk Tonight, Magic Pie etc...) are really fun too.

I don't think I really have a favourite, although I am usually partial to just messing around on my guitar for long periods of time with no actual song in mind.

On electric guitar:
PJ- "Lukin", mainly because it's so damn simple to play, making it easy to thrash around my room and play it at the same time. Also, "Hail Hail"

Smashing Pumpkins- "Cherub Rock", until the solo, at least. I can never get that right now matter how hard I try. Same deal for "Drown"

Oasis- the solo from "Supersonic", and "Up in the Sky"

Soundgarden- "Superunknown". I discovered how to play the opening riff a few days ago by accident, and I've not been able to stop playing it since.

Wilco- "Spiders (Kidsmoke)" fuck around in e minor pentatonic for a while, then break out to that chord progression. My favorite song to play along with. I'll put it on repeat, usually going through it about 3 times til I'm satisfied (and the song's 10 minutes long). The live verision from Kicking Television is even better.

British Sea Power- "Apologies to Insect Life"

On acoustic:
Oasis- "Married With Children"
Radiohead- "Street Spirit", but those chord changes are a bitch :x

To sing (when no one else is home, mind you):
Paul Westerberg- "I'll Do Anything"
Belle & Sebastian- "Seeing Other People"
Wilco- "I'm A Wheel"

I can never get that goddamn song right in one take. I can play stuff that seems like it should be much harder, but that fucking song gets me everytime. Damn you, Johnny Greenwood.

same deal for me. You'd think the picking pattern is the hardest part, but I can never go from the A to the E without it sounding like a retard is playing.

My all-time favorite song to play on the guitar is Led Zeppelin - Ten Years Gone. Lately I have been playing George Harrison - Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) a lot.
