I just was wondering if ya'll like the drum intro to in my tree or the guitar intro eddie does when they play it live now? I think ed first used the guitar intro in 2003, and all the versions i've heard after that are like that.

I like the guitar intro better, it just gives the song more emotion. But the version they played at the Gorge, in 2005 was awesome. When matt changes the beat up at the end, it sounds incredible.

I prefer the guitar intro over the drums.

it's a shame matt cameron isn't good enough to play the drum part so they had to scrap it.

They played it quite a bit in 2000 and matt did just fine IMO

I prefer guitar over drum-intro. But the album version is not yet matched by any live-version nevertheless.

Right. See Saratoga 00.

My response to this thread: I love 'em both.

Yeah, Matt's style is different from Jack's but he's quite talented. He gets great tone, similar to Bonham.

I don't understand it when people say this. I always thought Matt did fine with it.
