Well I like that Maroon 5 song This Love, I think everything else I've heard from them is shit though.

Why do you find this to be a guilty pleasure? The subject matter is quite serious and it rings true to me. I really like James Blunt so I'm just wondering.

That being said, "Goodbye My Lover" is a cheesy song but I fucking love it.

Damn Hinny, Bryan Adams? Ha ha ha. You have brass balls to admit to that one, my friend. I was going to add "Straight From the Heart" to my list but didn't have the heart to. Your brutal honesty inspires me.

I tells it like it is. It's a top song by an awful artist.

He's not too bad, Reckless is a great album. It all went downhill when Everything I do's success went to his head, and all he wrote was soppy ballads.

I just can't stand the guy. He's the UK-version of John Mayer. Both have songs I like, but they're both way too cheesy for me. Also, there are other "singer/songwriters" (I think Blunt only co-wrote most of his track if I remember it correctly) who would "deserve" success more and are around for way more time. I'll bet my John Mayer CD that Blunts second record will be a blatant "Bedlem" imitation.

I find Blunt to be a more mature songwriter than Mayer, if only by a hair. Truthfully, can you name any track on Back to Bedlam that is as cheesy as "Your Body Is a Wonderland"? And for the record, that is yet another guilty pleasure of mine.

That's my point. You can compare Mayer and Blunt, they both mainly write (IMO) not even mediocre, very cheesy songs for 13-18 year old girls. They both have some talent and some decent songs, but they're way too overrated IMO.
