I usually pay a lot more attention to the writer than the director, but I love Michel Gondry's work with Kaufman's script for Eternal Sunshine. Also, Spike Jonze. They both did great things with Kaufman's ideas.

Whoever directed 28 Days Later... I believe it was Danny Boyle.

Tarantino and Kubrick, as wel.
