wow... I was really curious to hear gegs take on babyshambles.

Now i'm not sure if you're serious or not, but I like what i've heard from babyshambles a bit. I really, really like the libertines, especially pete doherty's input... so i should really investigate more.

I am serious, I heard them on Bam's radio show, and then downloaded their new(?) album. there's a couple free torrent things on their site too, I'm not sure exactly what they are though.

What do the Libertines sound like?

Wow GEG, I didn't expect this from you. The new Babyshambles album is OK, but the two Libertines albums are much better. I suggest you check them out. i think the self-titled is better, but most critics say Up The Bracket is better so I guess it's up to you which one you want to check out first. they do sound very much like the Clash, probably due in part to the fact that Mick Jones (of the Clash) produces their albums.

Nice, I'm curious how alike they sound compared to babyshambles.

But I get the sense that he gives no fuck about it, therefore I like him.

He doesn't even care enough to make competent music.

geg,
definitely check out the Libertines
I don't know what happened to the Babyshambles album,
at first I liked it a lot,
but then I really compared it to the Libertines' albums,
and compared it to some of the songs Babyshambles play live that are not on the album.
the album could have been so much better.

in all seriousness, the Libertines - s/t is one of my favourite records of the last 10 years.

Um, i saw Babyshamble when they played here and they were a fucking mess. Properly. Pete Doherty is more concerned with being a junkie and fucking supermodels than he is about music, which seems to rank below even wearing a silly hat in terms of importance on Planet Doherty. They've a couple of good songs, but I don't personally find them anything to get excited about. Good to see you listening to some different stuff though, geg.
