i dont think its that farfetched. chicago's offense sucks and carolina is much better than people realize.

not against the bears D, though.
I dont see why this game will be that much different than the first meeting. The only real difference is that grossman is qb instead of orton, and that is an obvious improvement for the bears.

i think it's chicago who are much better than people realize. the fact that they have grossman back will make a big difference. plus, it's at home and they're first playoff game in like 4 years.

Another good point is the fact that the bears were able to defeat the Panthers earlier in the season and they had orton as their QB. Just think what it's going to be like with Grossman in there.

and tampa beat washington and cincy beat pittsburgh. it means nothing.

and if you are going to use the defense argument:
Chicago's defense: 281.8 ypg
Carolina's defense: 282.6 ypg

offense, you say?:
Chicago's offense: 256.3 ypg
Carolina's offense: 309.4 ypg

tampa beat washington on a 2pt conversion, and pit also beat cincy during the season.
The bears, even though the score may not show it, dominated the panthers. The game wasnt even close. And if you honestly believe that the panthers defense is as good as the bears your crazy friend.

and if you think that a regular season game has that much influence on a playoff game, they YOU are crazy, friend.

i believe that the panthers defense is right behind the bears. maybe not "as good", but theyre right there. hey, the jags had a much better D than the patriots. howd they make out?

not a great matchup for carolina. The last time the two teams played, the bears' front four was in the backfield so much that i don't think they even showed any of their blitz packages. moreover, from what i've seen & heard, deshaun foster has been picking up lots of yards by stretching the field horizontally to get outside & pick up yards - this is exactly the sort of stuff the bears' defense will eat for lunch because the def. line and the linebackers are all pretty fast.
none of this means the bears are a lock, of course, because that's why they play the games.

i think this will be the best game this weekend.

i really dont care who wins, i think carolina has a better shot to win the super bowl though so id like to see them win this game.

NFC Championship #6 Washington @ #5 Carolina

You do realize that Grosman is a rook right? He's played what...8 or 9 games? And this is his first playoff game? The Bears D had better show up or this will be a rookie massacre.

i hope to see chicago win this one and i hope to see grossman have a hige game.
i think both teams are equal but the panthers have been really up and down all season and they are due for one of their stinkfests. i see chicago putting a hurting on them on D and the bears O will do a bit better then the last game so i see somehting like 24-7 bears
