So I loaded Neil Youngs Greatest Hits into Itunes for my ipod the other day. When you load in RITFW it comes up as artist: Pearl Jam with Neil Young. In the notes on the album, doesnt mention anything about PJ. Anybody know?

Pearl Jam had nothing to do with RITFW. It came out on Freedom, which was released in 1989.

I know when it came out.....I am just wondering, is it a mistake in production, or did they put a recorded version with PJ and not the Freedom version. It sounds like the Freedom version, but Im not sure

It's def the Freedom version. My boyfriend had the same deal when he put his on his iPod as well. Just plain weird.

I've noticed that with d/l MP3's on Soulseek...a lot of the time it says it's Pearl Jam with Neil Young when it's the Freedom version...weird.

exactly...

one might want to ask where the information is coming from...i don't have an ipod...so i am not sure how it works...but i gather that you rip the songs to from the cd to the ipod...there's likely an internet connection involved and the song info (tags) is downloaded from a cddb or the like...whoever submitted the tags to the cddb submitted the wrong information regarding this particular song...i could be wrong though.
