You know those guys that always seem to be considered "stars" or playmakers...... but have never won a damned thing at the pro level other than all star berths and some fame.

my top 3?

1. Steve Francis
2. Antoine Walker
3. T- Mac

honorable mention: Antawn Jamison, Carmelo Anthony, and Stephon Marbury.

and i dont mean guys like LeBron and Wade who seem destined to win eventually.

be careful not to confuse overpaid with overrated. Just because some team felt it was necessary to give out a max contract to a guy, it doesn't mean the player is perceived around the league or by the media as a great player.

I'd say the reigning MVP is overrated.

The Atlanta Hawks. Wherever they are rated, they are overrated.

overpaid are the likes of Jerome James and Brian Cardinal, etc.

Im talking about players that are seen as the "superstars" of the league. Players that are expected to lead the team in scoring every night (and usually do... on the way to a twelve point loss).

I was thinking of him as well. It's pretty telling that he's yet to even average double digit rebounds.

i thought about him, but he led a very average raptors team to the Eastern Conferance finals. His big games seem to lead to wins.

when walker made it, Pierce was the leader of the team.

I think the perception of Vince around the leauge is on the money: high scoring swing man who can dominate at times. He also has had some success in the playoffs.

it's his fault that he tanked his way out of there, then all of a sudden found his game again once he was out

1.)yao

2) lamar odom- im so tired of hearing how much potential this guy has. saturday night he scored a grand total of 2 points and he has scored in single digits alot this season. good rebounder but his defense is atrocious

3.)antoine walker

he's not the first guy, nor will he be the last, to do that. If I'm a Raptors fan, I'm more upset with the GM for giving the guy away for next to nothing.

No and no. I don't follow McGrady so I couldn't tell you about him.
