i want him to wake up, kick some ass... like when he showed up in day 4 to save jack's ass
and they specifically tailored the first four episodes to be like a little mini-series because they knew it was going to be aired like this.... (straight from keifer himself last night on charlie rose)

honestly there is no need for information from him now and he's hurt too badly to believe he could even get out of that bed within a day. then again while the actors playing palmer and michelle were listed as special guest stars, the actor playing tony was billed regularly.

It seems unbelievable that he'd be back, but he came back (I think it was in season 3) after being shot in the neck. He gets shot in the neck at a mall goes through surgery and is back in a few hours with nothing but a white bandage on his neck.

I was trying to figure out when and how Astin would come into play. I had read in the articles that he was going to be running CTU during the season. When Bill started out the season running it I figured something would have to happen to get Astin's character into the scene.
I wonder how Jack is going to convince them that he had nothing to do with the shooting.
dont think tony will be back for day 5. no f*cking way. but that doesnt mean he wont be back next season. they always want us to believe that jack bauer's character is never safe from being written off, but dont see how they could do it especially since theres been talk to movie franchise the show. if jack is somehow written off (highly unlikely), tony's the only lead popular enough to carry the show so they need him alive.
with chloe's testimony along with dianne and derek's alibi, jack wont have any problems being cleared of the shooting charges.

did anyone else notice jack being unjacklike this season? always put the job/mission ahead of even his friends and family. its different this year...he's more of a teddy bear.
1. killed palmer's assassin out of vengence even knowing the putz could clear his name.
2. traded derek's life for another hostage. jack had to have known that even if he gave himself up to save derek, the terrorists would just select another to keep the deadline.
3. gave himself up for derek, possibly sacrificing all the hostages and the men at ctu during the rescue mission
4. missed tracking the guy with the key card, instead he took the time to give a manhug to derek.
5. failed to realize that his presence being compromised at the airport and his relationship with derek was exposed had to be the direct result of a mole.
