Is it just me or is Castlevania IV and SOTN two of the best games ever? Every 3-D games sucks. They just cannot seem to get it right.

Me and my friend used to make up words to the music on the first Castlevania. Hey! We were like 12!

i used to say that, then i got the original castlevania for gameboy advance..holy shit..talk about a frustrating game..it pissed me off beyond belief..that frankenstien/igor fight is nuts..i couldnt beat them..back in the day, we'd wipe them out..i forget how i did it..i dont even want to think about the reaper..we used to spend hours on him..i remember him being ridiculous..drac wasnt as bad..but then youd have to face that beast that pops out right after..

(on a side note..i remember me and my frined would play cv1 for hours..i remember he was the first to beat drac..when he beat him he threw the controller accross the room and gave drac the finger and start yelling fuck you and whatnot at him..then that dude popped out..we were looking all over the room for the controller..by the time we found it and plugged it in, he had like 2 energies left)

I always liked the Castlevania game for N64. I thought it was underrated, it had some really great noir/vampire stuff, even if it was pretty easy.

I suck at videogames so I never got very far on SOTN, but that was a great game.

The first Castlevania kicks ass. As does Super Castlevania.

I never understood that about some of those NES games. I mean it's fine to make a tough game, but when it's so hard you make no progress on it, it's just pointless. The one that comes to mind is that Transformers game. and the shitty ET game that came out on Atari I think, that they bulldozed over.

There were parts of Ninja Gaiden that were impossible.

Oh god, I can remember HATING that fucking game.

And yeah, I could never understand why companies would make impossibly hard games for home consoles. At the arcade, sure, so that kids'll keep pumping quarters in. But making ridiculously hard NES games just kept kids from buying another one because they were still trying to beat the one they already had.

I miss 2d sidescrolling Mario games. I wish nintendo would go all out and make an absolutely huge one for their new system. Have nice graphics (nothing too spectacular), and spend all their time on gameplay. Hundreds of levels, secrets all over the place, tons of different "suits" you can wear.

This is probably the closest you will ever get, and this game is the only reason I may buy a DS.

I don't think it has a title yet. But it is basically a new sidescrolling Super Mario game. I don't think they have announced a release date yet.
