Hey, guys and gals, thanks for your comments on my article, even if you didn't like it. Just curious, why do you think my take on this song is so mistaken? In fact, Vedder commented on this in an interview that suggests that this interpretation is pretty reasonable. As to the words, they are the ones he sang in Lexington, KY in April of 03 (or 04, I forget now:>)) or pretty close. I could probably find the link to the interview with Vedder if you are unfamiliar with it.
