if you call being a fan since seeing bobby hurley and mccafferty play in the mcdonalds all american game in pittsburgh (back then i believe it was called the dapper dan classic) in 1990-91 and following the team since then, then yes im a front runner

how did Hurley play in the 1990 mcdonalds game when he was already at Duke in 89/90?

And if you're really 35, being a fan since 91 isn't all that impressive. Jumping on the bandwagon is just as bad as being a front runner....

this brings up a good question... how early must you become a fan to root for a certain team and not be considered bandwagon material... i think 15 years of pulling for a team is plenty (peeps), of course rooting for the Dookies the past 15 years hasnt been too difficult

i started liking Carolina in '87-'88 due to mr. jr reid... i was 11ish... i didnt quite make it for MJ and Co., so i never really loved him the way most peole do... im a barkley man myself

earliest and fondest memory would be when rick fox (and 8-seeded caroilna) hit a runner with no time left to knock off 1-seeded Oklahoma and Mookie Blaylock... good times

JR Reid was the king of the 10 foot jumper. He never missed. I was more of a King Rice fan myself...

nothing was better than when he hit that runner to cap off a 20+point comeback against FSU... it was fucking amazing

<----- Has been a DUKE fan since Danny Ferry era. I was 10. I was also at the 2001 National Championship game in which DUKE prevailed by 10 over Arizona.

Go DUKE!
