Binaural is so dark you need a flashlight to listen to it.

Track 1-3: how ever did they dare choosing these songs over... well, you know what.

My CD player in my car broke and I've been awfully subjects to just old tapes...i hate tapes.

Anyway, only one tape has been playing in my car...it has Binaural on one side and Simon & Garfunkel "Bookends" on the other.

-----

I have always like Breakerfall.

Gods' Dice and Evacuation were two songs I never skipped (I never skip songs) but I didn't think they were great.

I love Light Years, NAIS and even Thin Air, Of the Girl, Grievance, Sleight of Hand, parting ways and Soon Forget.

Insignificance is a song I never fell in love with similary to Gods Dice and Evac. I just never related to it. I like the song live but on the album it never struck me as something great.

Rival is great but I need it to take me to one more place...I need there to be a breakdown, a better bridge or something...something!!! I do like the funky piano and Eddie's Chris Cornell background vocals.

NOTE:

Does anyone hear, I think it's Stone, say "let's do it again?" at the very end of Of the Girl...it's just a blub but whats what I make of it.

Its hands down my fav album (from anyone actually)
maybe its because it was my first Pearl Jam album?

Breakerfall I love as a first song, gets you in the mood
Gods Dice and Evacuation really keep the tempo up....

Thin Air, Light Years, Nothing As It Seems are a good trifecta, NAIS guitar work is brilliant....

Sleight of Hand... probably my least fav on the album

Grievance, Insignificance i really love now.... think the live versions really got me into these 2...

Of the Girl was the first song i heard PJ play live (in person) Theres a post Morrison doors song (yes they made 2 albums after Jim died) one of those songs sounds a big like Of the Girl.... (not sure on the name off hand though)

Soon Forget I really like, it doesnt really fit the album much? but its lyrics are awesome.....

and Parting Ways is another great Pearl Jam end song....

now toss in Fatal, and Sad .... and those other lost tracks.....

It took a while for me to warm up to Binaural, but now it's my second favorite PJ album.

Like I mentioned in another thread, I actually like Evacuation. I like all the songs, especially God's Dice, Thin Air, and (my favorite) Insignificance. I'm still not wild about Sleight of Hand, but I like it more than I used to.

By far my least favorite album by Pearl Jam. It has good songs but they all sound much better live. Breakerfall, God's Dice and Evacuation are the worst start to any album...I think that Evacuation is just horrible.

I was the same with Sleight of Hand until I saw it live and now that they have played it acoustic a few times, I love it.

Awesome album.

And my feelings on Breakerfall and Gods Dice should be known by now. I'm getting anger management

My second favourite album after Yield. Love every song, even Evacuation. What's with the God's Dice hatred?

And seriously folks - headphones make the difference. It wasn't recorded binaurally for no reason.
