I've never heard it. Is it really unlistenable?

Honestly, i've had the album for about two years now, and just never put it on.

Maybe that's the problem. Perhaps it requires repeated listens to fully appreciate the music. Or perhaps it's just a horrible album. Either way I'm curious.

I think Re*act*or is highly underrated, so I won't even consider it in this category. "T-Bone" is a work of genius, and if you don't think so, you must hear the one and only known live performance from 11-13-90 to understand the brilliance of this song.

I have a new found appreciation for Landing On Water in the past year or so. It took me a long time to warm up to it, but the way I look at it is that the songs would be really cool if they were played by Crazy Horse, and Neil did the 80's synth sound on that album as well if not better than anyone else ever has.

hmm hard to say i guess it all depends on which ones you consider to be in the "shitty catogory" I guess mine would be Arc or Old Ways.

I think it refers to his genre-hopping period in the 80's.

I've always liked This Note's For You...some good songs on there.

Old Ways & Life have some good songs, too.

Re-ac-tor isn't as bad as some say. It's certainly not near the top-tier of Neil albums, but Opera Star, Southern Pacific, & Shots are all good. And T-Bone is just hilarious.

I never liked Old Ways myself... I think you can pick any of Neil's albums from the 80's and find little bits of promise, but most of it is just okay at best...

Is Trans considered shitty? If it is, then that is by far my favorite shitty Neil album, it's in my top ten Neil albums period.

If you like that one, I've also got the "Sample And Hold (dance remix)" 12 inch. It is the best version of the song IMO. Shorter than the album version, longer than the single, and with more techno extras!

Neil fans and critics consider this one of Neil's finest later albums. Casual fans, not so much.
