if these guys never make another record they certainly went out on top. this is by far their best and most mature record. they got away from all the teenager stories and all the funny little songs and wrote some of their best lyrics and music. this album is both emotion and heart breaking at the same time. i find myself realizing that many people will never really experience this album because they will look at the blink 182 name and never really be able to get passed all those silly songs they've heard and actually believe that this one might be different. if you just attempted to pick this one up and listen to a few songs i'm sure you would quickly learn that this is a far cry from all of their older material. honestly, i adore this album. there are a limited number of albums which i can listen to and gain inspiration from and this is one of those albums.

I really really liked this album when it came out, and I'm very glad I saw them on tour with that album. That was definitely their best. Haven't listened to it in a long time though. I should do that. And I even have a Blink T-shirt from that tour. I shall wear it at my next PJ show.

I've never understood the hate for this band even with the silly songs/albums. It's not like they were trying to reinvent punk, they were just having fun. Their drummer is fuckin awesome, and they write fun, peppy music. Honestly, the live album is the most immature thing I have ever heard, but it's great for certain moods.
I agree about the last album too. It is a shame that so many won't check it out, and even if they do, wouldn't admit to liking it.

my friend's brother is in a band and we were discussing his influences, guitar wise, and he said jimmy page and tom.. whatever his name is in the same breath.
i was concerned.

But I cannot stand the vocals. For that reason alone I would happily never hear another Blink 182 song.
I actually like the bassist's vocals, but that other whiny bitch is horrible. One time I was at a bar and a cover band was playing, and they used a woman to sing his part on All the Small Things. And even she sounded more manly than him.

I want to say that Blink 182 are diahrrea on CD (which they would probably love to hear regardless) but really they had some pretty good, catchy pop songs. Of course nobody over the age of 16 took them seriously but you could say the same thing for like 50 other "artists."
