So I've never been one to sit down and memorize the lyrics to songs, for me a singers voice is just another instrument most of the time, so when I read the lyrics to Hail, Hail today I laughed out loud at myself.
I always thought the line "It's egg rolling thick and heavy" was "if they can roll it they can have it". I always pictured Ed at a party telling some kid if he can roll the tobacco/weed that's lying on the table then he can smoke it. Just my interpretation of a misheard lyric.

Anyone else ever have this happen with PJ lyrics?

I used to think the lyric to Glorified G was "Glorified version of a pelican".

I used to think the line in black was "legs spread out before me" instead of laid spread out before me.

For some reason I always though the line in Green Disease "no white or black, just grey. can you feel this world with your heart and not your brain?" was "I don't practice breaking your feelings...world with your heart and not your brain" which doesn't make much sense at all.

That's weird.
What's really weird is that the incorrect line always pops into my head. It sure is a catchy incorrect line.

For the longest time, I thought that too!

The first time I hear Elderly woman..., I thought Eddie said something about being a farmer (the line: I’m not my former). Geez.

I do it a lot, and if I like it better, I'll still sing it instead.

Like in Ghost:

"A place in the clouds, a good place to hide oh my oh"
I like "On my own" better

And Sad:

Instead of "Eleven nights he laid in bed" it's
"He'd lay and masturbate in bed".(Which drives my friend in the Tribute band nuts, because I'm very animated about it and get everyone around me to be, too.)

*evil*

Is it posible ? That 2 people can misinterpret the same lyric in the same exact way ????
I think it's jut Eddie the one who doesnt open his mouth wide enough to sing.... LOL

You are not the only one with the misinterpreted sentence on Hail Hail I have always sang "it's egg rolling think and heavy" and always though "What the hell is that suppose to mean ??? "

I used to think that too at first, then I progressed to thinking it was 'father' but eventually got it right!

I've always thought Ed sang 'watched out the window, withering mosquito' on RM, but TSIS shows it as 'watched from the window, with a red mosquito' so I feel kinda foolish now!
