insignificance? Just wondering if there is a particular song that eddie had in mind when he sings "play c3" and if he publically mentioned it in an interview.

i dont have the interview in front of me, but i know for a fact its "warehouse" by the dave matthews band. eddie loves that song, as does anyone else who's heard it.

ive wondered this as well....

i do know there was an old episode of 'are you afraid of the dark' called the curse of c3, that was about a haunted jukebox that summoned ghosts when said song was played. of course, it might have been a different number... it was a long time ago.

upon closer inspection, they are loafers.
d'i mean.. it was c7.

i think perhaps that there is no specific song, but rather just that it is one of protest. maybe ed has in mind what it is, but since every jukebox could have a different c3, who knows....

Kind of like this song?

The flag of piracy flew from my mast, my sails were set wing to wing
I had a jukebox graduate for first mate, she couldn't sail but she sure could sing,
I pushed B-52 and bombed 'em with the blues with my gear set stubborn on standing
I broke all the rules, strafed my old high school, never once gave thought to landing,
I hid in the clouded warmth of the crowd but when they said, "Come down," I threw up,
Ooh... growin' up.

"Play C3, let the song protest" from insignificance. PPl wanna know which song is it, I guess.

I heard Eddie had a vision with Boom in it, and it actually should've been B3. lol :D but Boom said it was to early to expose him. :D
And Eddie likes the letter C better ;)

i get that part, but why does that have to refer to another song? what does c3 mean in music terms?

"C3" actually refers to the Civilian Conservation Corps, the New Deal program set up by the FDR administration to give people work and get the economy out of depression. In late '99/early '00, Ed forecasted the impending U.S. economic downturn, and used "C3" in this song as subtle reference to his beliefs of increased governmental involvement in the domestic economic sphere.

So basically, Ed tried brainwashing all of us. that's where it came from.

I thought of that Springsteen song the first time I heard C3 in the lyrics too. :)

Isn't C3 the number assigned to Corduroy in the Vitalogy liner notes? Can someone check? I don't have mine readily available.

Honestly, the meaning of "C3" had always been a complete mystery to me before this thread.
