I bought Akuma No Uta two days ago and have been blowing my speaker out with it. I can hardly wait until Pink gets its release on Southern Lord, and I can buy it, because nobody seems to have the import version.

Pink is fucking awesome, I'm listening to it right now. It makes the last Sleater-Kinney album look like it was made by 13 year-olds. Okay maybe not, that album is still good but Pink annhiliates anything as far as heaviness/distortion/drone goes.

I'm torn whether I like it more than Akuma No Uta still. I haven't heard Absolutego yet, maybe I'll download it and see. But yeah, as far as the "heavy as fuck distort" genre goes, these guys pretty much slay everything else. They have a collab with Sunn O))) coming up, so I'm kind of interested on seeing how that turns out, even if Sunn O))) is pretty much boring compared to Boris.
They have quite a few releases already, a bunch of live stuff, and some work with Merzbow as well. I bet you their live show would make your ears bleed.

Akuma No Uta isn't quite as hooky or melodic as Pink. Absolutego is like one huge lake of drone and noise.

I dunno, I think parts of Akuma No Uta can be just as hooky as songs on Pink, but you are right, as a whole there is less drone on the new one.

I like desert fuzzed out rock, and I've heard of the band, but I don't know a whole lot about them. How are the vocals? I can't imagine Japanese singing over heavy music, but from what I've heard, it's good.
