So i scored tickets to this today and i'm all giddy like a school girl now.

I was surprised to hear they were reforming. Hopefully, it will turn out good.

Of course, it's Jay w/ all new musicians instead of the original band.

As long as they play Son Volt songs there could be an overweight tuba player wrestling a midgit on stage and i'd still be happy.

Good point, but since Jay plays Son Volt songs in his solo gigs, I'd still hope for something a bit more...if they're a kickin' band like the old Son Volt was, all should be well.

Kinda seems weird to have Jay call the band Son Volt with new guys. There really isn't a need, is there?

The Uncle Tupelo reunion tour is the one I'm waiting for though!

I've gotten to talk to Jeff Tweedy and John Stirratt several times as well as getting to meet Jay Fararr and i dont think thats ever going to happen.

Sound like a great show I'm going to try and catch Escovedo when he comes to Philly in 05 and can't wait for the Wilco msg show on nye
