Not sure whether to go down the tribute road or just play some PJ covers.

Thinking of 'Virtual Stone Bot' for the name.

I've been wanting to start a PJ Cover Band for quite some time now (or just play some covers... not a "tribute band" or something),
only problem:
find another guitar player, a singer, a drummer and a bass player

I'm getting so sick of:

"Wanted guitar player, style: own songs à la Green Day, NOFX"
"Wanted guitar player, style: own songs à la Korn, Deftones"
"Wanted guitar player, style: coverband playing Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, ..."
"Wanted guitar player, style: own songs + few covers, think Megadeth, Pantera"

Do you play an instrument, Stu? Are you a singer?

There's just not enough death metal bands playing at 8 year old birthday parties.

I play guitar, I'll be handling Stone or Mike's parts depending on the song.

Just to keep you updated on this, I had a jam with the guys I'm doing this with last night and it looks like we might be getting a full-blown band out of this, playing originals and so on, but we're going busking in Belfast next Saturday and I promise to play unplugged versions of Leash and No Way for y'all.
