the Knicks of the 1990s caused me so much misery it makes me sick to think about it. Me and my buddies were about the biggest knicks fans you could find. and every summer we died a slow painfull death at the hands of Jordan, and 94 to houston. Those teams were almost like extended family to us. to this day if you bad mouth patrick ewing to me I go off like his middle name was Jebus.

now, the losing has gotten so bad for so long, we're all numb to it.

I just called my friend to see if he heard about the Rose trade, and all he could say was big fucking deal. how a NY team , especially one of the glamour franchises in sports, be so garbage is beyond me.

Knicks are a disaster...but they don't come anywhere near the nonsense that has gone on with the Vikings. Not yet anyway...

they may be a joke now, but only since the day the Dolans took over. the Checketts/Grunfeld Knicks of the 90's was the 2nd greatest era in knicks history

then the history isnt that good if the 2nd best era resulted in one finals appearance that was a loss.

2 finals apperances. a 60 win season, something like 13 straight years in the playoffs, sellouts every night for 11 years....Ill take that period over most teams any day. and if MJ wasnt around the 1993 team would have won the title hands down.

i think your thinking of the wrong yr. 94 was lost because John Starks went 2-18 and Riles let him stay in the whole game. If Hakeem doesnt get 1/10th of a fingertip on the ball starks short from 3 to end game six, they do win the 94 title

Patrick finger rolled in 95 vs Indy, but he started his move too far away form the basket to dunk it.

8 lakers
6 Bulls
3 celtics
3 pistons
3 spurs
2 rockets
1 76ers...

so for the lifetimes of the majority of us.... 7 teams have won a title.

Yup, my bad. I still think he could have dunked that ball, but whatever. I always liked Ewing anyway and thought he got kind of a raw deal. It seems like he always had teamates from The White Shadow or something.

maybe its because Mr. Fluid is a hometown boy, but I have NEVER blamed him for that play. he got absolutely RAPED by Jordan and Pippen, I mean hammered on all four consecutive attempts. its hard to make a layup no matter who you are when you get smashed by forearms to the head.
