The second best band behind Pearl Jam is clearly soundgarden. They are amazing. Just listen to the song Pretty Noose.

I like soundgarden a lot, but the other major bands (trees, AIC, and nirvana) were better (in that order).

We need more sentimental grunge threads.

I welcome as many Soundgarden threads as possible to combat all the annoying threads about Smashing Pumpkins.

there are some of us here who love both smashing pumpkins and soundgarden with equal ardour. :) why turn these two great bands into foes? instead, celebrate 'em both!

Right on DeLima.

Traditionally, my grunge list has looked like this:

Pearl Jam
Alice in Chains
Screaming Trees
SP
Soundgarden

But I have been listening to tons of Soundgarden and SP recently, and god such awesome shit that is. Soundgarden may be my 5th favorite grunge band, but it is easily top 20 favorite bands of all time.

Soundgarden are in the upper echelons of rock greatness. Flower has possibly the best riff ever.

I love jar of flies but how can you not like Facelift. Man In The Box and Sea Of Sorrow are classics. We die young and It Aint Like That are great also. You should give it another listen.
